NEW DELHI: Three persons have been arrested by the West Delhi police for allegedly killing a man whose body was found in a well at Uttam Nagar in West Delhi on June 11. According to police, the body of Babloo Khan, a resident of Vikas Nagar, fished out of a well in a vacant plot, bore several injuries on the back of the neck and elbows. Preliminary investigations revealed that Babloo had fought with some men a few days before his death. Subsequently, the police arrested the accused, identified as Zakir Ali, Ashiq Ahmed and Mahesh Chand, on Tuesday.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to having killed Babloo. The police said Zakir and Babloo had fought bitterly over some issue at a marriage ceremony a few days ago. Babloo had also badly beaten up Zakir.
Zakir then decided to take revenge. On the night of June 10, he and his accomplices attacked Babloo when he passing through a desolate stretch. They attacked him with an axe and also beat him up with an iron rod. The trio then threw the body in the well.
