Akali leader claims threat to life

An Akali Dal leader, who had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking government takeover of BCCI, has claimed to have received a letter threatening to eliminate him and his family. He has sought police protection. The Delhi Police have received a complaint from Kuldip Singh Bhogal, the all India organising secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). Mr. Bhogal, who is also president of the Association for Social and Humanitarian Affairs, had filed a complaint at the Sunlight police station in South-East Delhi claiming that he had received the threat letter on June 18. —PTI
