The Hindu has shown an impressive growth of 14.2 per cent in readership in Delhi in the third quarter of 2012 over the corresponding period of 2011, according to new figures of the Indian Readership Survey 2012. The Hindu ’s readership of 153,000 in 2012 Q3 shows a growth of 14.2 per cent over the same period in the previous year.

‘Most-read’

The Hindu gained 89,000 readers — a growth of 4.1 per cent in national readership as compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The publication’s current Average Issue Readership (AIR) is 22.58 lakh. Once again, The Hindu retains its position as the most-read English daily in South India and the third largest English newspaper nationally.
