TechmartIndia 2010, the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) pavilion, was inaugurated by Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister (MSME) Dinsha Patel at the India International Trade Fair 2010 here this past week.

Spread over 5,000 square metres at Hall 14 of Pragati Maidan, TechmartIndia 2010 is focusing on cost-effective and employment generation-oriented technologies. Over 200 MSME units including women entrepreneurs, SC and ST category units, start-ups and units from backward areas are displaying their products and services at the pavilion.

The India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), which organises the trade fair, had adjudged TechmartIndia 2009 first for “Excellence in Display” at IITF last year. Live demonstrations of various technologies including brick-making machine, soya milk production, biscuit and cookies plant, hand-operated press, wire-nail making machine, hydraulic press and many other low-cost technologies are the highlights this year.

A TechmartIndia 2010 trade directory and catalogues of NSIC's regional exhibitions were released at the inauguration.
