NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has lambasted TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu for his somersault on Telangana and said the latter was desperate to somehow come back to power. Mr. Naidu would stoop to any level to achieve this.

TDP had become “bankrupt” and lost its credibility. The party, which had been advocating for unified Andhra Pradesh so far, had changed colours overnight like a chameleon. There was no use to talk about a party which did not match Congress in anyway, Dr. Reddy told mediapersons here on Tuesday. He did not spare CPI (M) either and said people used to equate principles with that party. “CPI (M) was for a unified Andhra Pradesh and what is their stand now,” he wondered. Earlier, he met Union Defence Minister A.K. Antony and requested him to give early clearance for the Centre of excellence to be set up by the Aga Khan foundation near Hyderabad.
