The intense cold wave continued unabated on Saturday with the maximum temperature dipping to 12.6 degrees Celsius, eight degrees below normal. The minimum morning temperature was four degrees below normal at 2.9, only a few notches up from Friday’s 2.7.
Harsh winds continued to sweep the city, making those on the streets pull their coats tighter and keep their caps on. Sunshine, however, was not miserly and lasted several hours allowing children to play outdoors and adults to sit in their balconies and terraces basking in the sun.
Humidity levels also fell to a maximum of 97 per cent and a minimum of 62 per cent.
“Sunday will have temperatures oscillating between a maximum of 13 degrees and a minimum of three degrees,” said the weatherman, adding that except for early morning there will be sunshine even on Sunday.
