NEW DELHI: A court here has summoned an Oath Commissioner for attesting the affidavit of a person who was not present that day in the country. The court summoned him on a complaint by the Delhi High Court Registrar (Administration).

Summoning the Oath Commissioner, Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjay Bansal said: “The accused has prima facie committed offence under Sections 197 (issuing or signing false certificate) and 199 (false statement made in declaration which is by law receivable as evidence) of IPC.”
