Additional Solicitor-General and Delhi High Court Bar Association president A. S. Chandhiok has been honoured with the ‘Sikh of the Year 2010' award for his “outstanding achievements in the legal field and working for betterment of society”.

Mr. Singh was presented with the award at a ceremony in London earlier this month. The award has been instituted by the Sikh Forum International. It includes a citation and a memento.

The Forum presents the award every year to a distinguished Sikh for achievements in different fields and valuable contribution to society.

In the past, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur, Sikh historian Patwant Singh and former Army Chief General J. J. Singh have been honoured with this award.
