It was a trip down memory lane for Bollywood film-maker Shekhar Kapur when he revisited his alma mater, Modern School Barakhamba Road, over the weekend to address and present certificates to meritorious students.

The seasoned director recalled that his painting was dismissed by his teacher because of lack of emotions. “At 15, I tried to understand how to show one's creative side. This incident may seem ordinary but it helped me while switching over from a chartered accountant to a creative profession like film-making,” he said at the school's Founder Day celebrations.
