A second batch of 550 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir left for Saudi Arabia on the annual Haj pilgrimage on Sunday.

The pilgrims, including 327 males, 222 females and one child, embarked from Srinagar International Airport here in two flights for the annual pilgrimage, a government spokesperson said, adding that Minister of State for Health Shabir Ahmad Khan and other officials were present at the airport to see them off.

The first batch of 550 pilgrims had left for the pilgrimage on Satrurday.
