The Bihar government has directed all private and government schools in the State to declare summer vacation and not to open till further orders due to the prevailing heat wave condition, official sources said on Tuesday.

The Human Resource Department had given the closure order on Monday following a directive from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The schools would remain closed till further orders, sources said adding children were facing difficulties in attending schools particularly where there was drinking water problem. - PTI
