NEW DELHI: Fortis Healthcare Director (Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement) Ashok Rajgopal claims to have performed 24 knee replacement surgeries on March 24. The achievement was recorded by an investigator from the Limca Book of Records.

“Recent advancements in knee replacement surgery have made it possible to selectively replace only the diseased half of the knee joint. The replacement surgery is also beneficial for patients as it makes it possible to implant this prosthesis through a minimally invasive approach,” said Dr. Rajgopal in a statement.
