The application would come up for hearing on August 11

NEW DELHI: Rahul Mahajan, son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan and accused in a drug abuse case, on Tuesday moved an application before a Delhi court for permission to travel abroad after his wedding scheduled on August 29.

The plea moved before Additional Sessions Judge S N Gupta hearing the case, prays for the permission of the court to travel to Sychelles from August 30 to September 11 for his honeymoon and for return of his passport. The application would come up for hearing on August 11.

He also filed another application for modification of the order directing him to deposit his old passport on the ground that it remained untraceable.

In yet another application, Rahul as well as co-accused Harish Sharma requested the court to release their cell

phones as the chargesheet had already been filed in the case.

The court in its earlier order had stated that their application could be entertained only after filing of the chargesheet.

The chargesheet against Rahul Mahajan and five other accused was filed on August 3. Filed by Delhi police, it alleged that Rahul used his late father's official residence for ``distribution and consumption of drugs by organising a party on the intervening night of June one and two''- PTI
