Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Harmohan Dhawan on Thursday criticised the Chandigarh Police for their failure to save the life of Khushpreet Singh who was kidnapped a few days ago from Burail.

Talking to media persons, Mr. Dhawan said each and every citizen of Chandigarh whether he was known to Khushpreet and his family or not was shocked upon hearing the news of the brutal murder.

He alleged that the local MP and Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal “is busy in his tours to Delhi and has nothing to do with this issue.”

Condemning the murder, he alleged that the local MP was solely responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in the city and demanded his resignation on moral grounds.
