An absconding accused in the Rs.6.58-crore Provident Fund scam has surrendered before the special CBI court here, sources said.

“Accused Lokesh Kumar surrendered before special CBI court judge Shyam Lal on Monday. He was sent to the district jail where other 70 accused allegedly involved in the scam have been lodged,” court sources said.

Kumar, a court employee, was absconding and did not appear before the court in the last two years despite being summoned several times, they said.
