The Delhi Health Department has blacklisted M/s. PES Installation Pvt. Ltd. for not following the standard procedure and failing in its duty to ensure safe supply of oxygen from the manifold room to the Intensive Care Unit of Sushrut Trauma Centre on December 4 last, which led to the death of four patients.
Announcing this, Delhi Health Minister A. K. Walia said the company also deployed untrained persons and in insufficient numbers to operate the manifold system.
The Minister said a committee had been constituted after the tragedy and it has come to the conclusion that M/s. PES Installation Pvt. Ltd. is accountable and responsible for the lapses.
Further, he said, the company has been debarred from participating in any tender process/contract agreement with any of the government hospitals/health institutions of the Delhi Government in respect of medical oxygen supply for a period of two years.
