The Delhi State Legal Services Authority on Sunday disposed of 5,757 pending cases in the Lok Adalat conducted at the six district court complexes presided over by District Court Judges.

Under the guidance of the Authority's Executive Chairman, Acting Chief Justice Delhi High Court A. K. Sikri, 61 benches were constituted. Over 7,300 pending cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act and related to civil, electricity, labour and criminal compoundable offences were listed and 5,757 were disposed of, including 67 accident claims, in which compensation awarded was Rs.1.2 crore.
