Over 46.47 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had arrived in the various agricultural markets of Haryana till Monday.

An official spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said that over 46.46 lakh metric tonnes had been purchased by the six government procuring agencies at the minimum support price and 1,122 metric tonnes by the traders.

He further disclosed that the district-wise break-up was : Sirsa 5.50 lakh metric tonnes; Kaithal 5.11 lakh metric tonnes; Karnal 4.99 lakh metric tonnes; Jind 4.94 lakh metric tonnes; Fatehabad 4.46 lakh metric tonnes; Palwal 3.51 lakh metric tonnes; Kurukshetra 3.50 lakh metric tonnes; Sonepat 2.83 lakh metric tonnes; Hisar 2.10 lakh metric tonnes; Panipat 1.99 lakh metric tonnes; Rohtak 1.20 lakh metric tonnes and Ambala 1.20 lakh metric tonnes.
