Over 200 incidents of fire were reported from across the Capital on Wednesday during Diwali. Six persons, including two minors, were hospitalised after they complained of difficulty in breathing.

“We received 206 fire calls from 12 midnight Tuesday till 12 midnight Wednesday. Of these 85 calls were related to fire due to the crackers. Though no injuries or deaths were reported, six persons trapped in a building in Rohini where a fire had broken out complained of difficulty in breathing and had to be hospitalised. Another two incidents that needed deployment of additional force were reported at Roop Nagar and Hauz Khas village. We had received 169 fire calls during last Diwali,” said Delhi Fire Service Director A.K. Sharma.
