Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has directed the State Health Department to take proactive steps to control further spread of swine flu cases in the city even as the Capital reported 45 new cases on Thursday.

The Chief Minister has asked the health department to augment facilities for isolation of patients in hospitals and stressed the need to bring general awareness on symptoms of the disease and launch a campaign to disseminate the do’s and don’ts across the city.

The Chief Minister also held a high-level meeting to review the present status of H1N1 and steps taken to contain the disease.
