NEW DELHI: Former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Vjay Goel on Wednesday demanded immediate notification of the Master Plan for Delhi-2021 with a clear policy on commercialisation and building by-law norms to provide relief to small traders and shopkeepers.

Speaking at a press conference here, Mr. Goel alleged that notification of the new Master Plan had been withheld for political reasons. He said he would sit on a 24-hour dharna in front of Town Hall on September 4 in support of the demand for immediate notification of the Master Plan.

Mr. Goel said the new Master Plan should allow liberal mixed land use in middle and lower middle class colonies of the Capital.
