The police are yet to achieve a breakthrough in the kidnapping of an 18-month-old boy allegedly by a newly-employed domestic help at Maharani Bagh here on Sunday. The police have announced a reward of Rs.50,000 for information on her.

Teams have been constituted to carry out searches for the child, Ishaan, son of businessman Vikram Singh. “We are working on some clues,” said a police officer.

Ishaan was allegedly kidnapped by Seema (19), who was employed by the victim's family about a fortnight ago.

The employers had not got the antecedents of the domestic help verified by the police.

Seema, who claimed that she was from Jharkhand, would take Ishaan to a nearby park for an hour every evening. She left the house with him on Sunday, but did not return.

Anyone having information on the whereabouts of the suspect and the child can contact the area Station House Officer on phone nos. 9868188811, 011-26834563 and 011-26934863.
