NEW DELHI: In a bid to make a dent into the minority vote bank of its political rivals in the forthcoming municipal elections in the Capital, a joint front of Dalits, Other Backward Classes and slum dwellers has decided to include Muslims as well in its fold. At a press conference here on Wednesday, Indian Justice Party (IJP) president Udit Raj said there had been an encouraging response from the Muslims after the formation of the Morcha and it was decided to include them in the fold.

They felt that the two major political parties -- the Congress and the BJP -- had been working in the interests of the capitalists, bureaucrats, businessmen and rich people and had failed to safeguard their rights, he added.

The other groups that have joined the Morcha include the All-India Rehri-Patri Mahasangh, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, All-India Gurjar Mahasabha and JMM.
