Two motorcycle-borne men on Friday snatched a bag containing more than three lakh rupees from a person outside a court complex here, police said.

Jagir Singh, a resident of Jalandhar, said the amount was meant for his daughter-in-law as compensation.

According to Singh, his son was in the Army and had died not long after getting married. His daughter-in-law then filed a court case demanding sustenance allowance and the court verdict favoured her.

On Sigh's suspicion, the police have registered a case against Singh's daughter-in-law's sister.
