One suspect remanded in judicial custody, other still in police custody

One of the suspects in the alleged gang-rape of a five-year-old in East Delhi was on Saturday remanded in judicial custody till May 9 by a court here after four days in police custody.

Additional Sessions Judge Sanjay Garg remanded 19-year-old Pradeep to judicial custody for 12 days after the police said he was not required for further interrogation.

The court inquired from the police about the investigation conducted so far to which the investigating officer said he had recovered the mobile phone of both Pradeep and main accused Manoj Sah and that the suspects were confronted with each other to unravel the entire chain of events.

The police also said both the accused were taken to several places in Delhi where they had gone after committing the crime.
