NEW DELHI: Meru Cabs is all set to expand its fleet of taxis on Delhi’s roads to 500 by the end of this year to meet the growing demand for its service. The company started its operations in Delhi with 120 cabs, and over the past few months has expanded its fleet to 200.The company has seen a 40 per cent rise in demand for its cabs over the past few months with users ranging from corporate houses to hotel industry to individuals. The increase in the number of cabs in Delhi would make travel easier for people in the city and adjoining townships, said a senior company official. The cabs are equipped with international technologies like mobile data terminal (MDT) and GPS tracking systems.
