The mercury was on the rise in the Capital on Friday as the cold wave showed signs of ebbing with temperatures above normal level.

The maximum temperature rose two degrees above normal to settle at 22.7 degrees Celsius as against Thursday’s 21.1 degrees.

The minimum temperature rose by 0.7 degree Celsius to 7.7 degrees Celsius. The low was normal for this time of the year.

The weatherman has forecast mainly clear skies for today (Saturday) with fog in the morning.
