Carrying out a drive against male passengers travelling in metro train coaches reserved for women, the Delhi Metro Rail Police have caught more than a thousand men in the past one month.

The police have caught 1,161 men at seven metro stations for travelling in the reserved ladies coaches. They were produced before the station controller of the metro stations concerned and prosecuted under Section 64(1) of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Act, 2002. Fine amounting to Rs.2.9 lakh was collected from them.
