Joint Forum of Medical Technologists of India on Monday called upon allied health professionals and medical technology staff to protest peacefully for their demands like regulating educational systems, removing disparities in pay scales and bringing equality in service conditions. The health professionals, who wore black flags on Monday as part of their protest, were urged to wear the flags at their workplace till Wednesday.

All JFMTI-affiliated associations were also requested to submit their memorandums to the Union Health Minister, CMs and Health Ministers to demand that the Allied Health Professionals Council of India be set up to regulate educational systems in allied health sciences/ medical technology, undertake cadre review and revise recruitment rules in case of medical laboratory technical staff.
