NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has promised a “once-in-a-week” feast to children studying in its schools.

MCD Standing Committee Chairman Vijender Gupta said on Friday: “As part of the mid-day meal scheme, we will now give special food to children once a week. This food will be different from the standard fare that is dished out on regular days.” The menu would include elaborately cooked dishes as well as snacks and sweets.
