Now students need not have a background in Mathematics to get an Honours degree in Commerce from Delhi University. Under the new structure of the four-year undergraduate programme, the earlier requirement of Mathematics for admission to the Commerce course has been done away with.

“Till last year, most colleges were not accepting students in the Honours programme of Commerce without Mathematics. It has been now been decided that requirement of Mathematics for all categories of students be removed for admission to Bachelor with Honours in Commerce,” said Dean Students’ Welfare J. M. Khurana.
