Tiff over payment for cigarette claims life

A 22-year-old man on Monday succumbed to his stab injuries five days after he was allegedly attacked by a group of six men following a minor altercation over cigarette in Khajuri Khas. According to police, the deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Sabir Hussain.

On November 6, six men came at a shop run by the victim’s mother and refused to pay for the cigarette they bought. When Hussain demanded the money, a heated argument ensued between him and the accused and soon his family members joined the melee.

Both sides attacked each other with knives.
