A 55-year-old man was killed when his two-wheeler was hit by a tempo in New Friends Colony here on Monday.

According to the police, Ram Pravesh was going on his motorcycle towards Badarpur border via Mathura Road. When he reached near the gas station in New Friends Colony, a speeding tempo hit him from behind. He then lost control and fell on the road and was crushed under the wheels of the tempo.

The victim was rushed to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences where he was declared brought dead.

The tempo driver was later arrested.
