NEW DELHI: A 32-year-old man has been arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi police for allegedly being in possession of four deer skins.

Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested Vishal in Rohini Sector 24 over the weekend and allegedly recovered four deer skins from him. The skins are said to be worth Rs.50,000 in the market.

A case has been registered under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.

According to the police, Vishal works in Karnataka. He was allegedly involved in poaching animals from wildlife sanctuaries in the State along with his accomplices and had come to Delhi to sell off the skins.
