NEW DELHI: A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a young woman on the outskirts of the Capital earlier this year.

According to the police, Sanjeev Mahajan developed extra-martial relations with Pinky during his frequent visits to a saloon in Patel Nagar where the woman was employed. Sanjeev, a bookie, helped the woman open her own beauty parlour and also lent her large sums of money. When Sanjeev asked the woman to return the money, she refused. It soured relations between the two and Sanjeev allegedly shot Pinky dead in the presence of her husband on February 22 following an altercation.
