Unique souvenirs on Mahatma Gandhi have been an instant hit with Indian and foreign travellers at the Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal 3 ever since the Delhi Duty Free Services Pvt Ltd (DDFS) introduced around 50 such items over six months ago.

In fact, DDFS, a joint venture between Delhi International Airport Limited, Indian Duty Free Services and Aer Rianta International, has created an exclusive section named – Discover India – offering a range of Indian products like speciality teas, spices, sweets, handicrafts, cosmetics and garments, besides showcasing best-sellers like T-shirts, money clips and coffee mugs featuring Mahatma Gandhi.

“It is the products like ‘Eternal Gandhi Premium Ahimsa Pen', a mini statue of ‘the three monkeys', a 50-year calendar with a watch, key chains with Mahatma Gandhi's photographs, ‘Eternal Gandhi Black Combination Ball' and ‘Mahatma Gandhi Seven Social Sins Watch' which are a hit among visitors,” DDFS Head (Marketing) Abhijit Das toldThe Hindu.

Talking about the ‘Discover India' section, Mr. Das said: “It has been designed to offer a variety of products and brands to travellers who want to take with them a memoir from India and we have stocked products that match Indian sensibilities. We have a fine selection of Indian teas, besides luxury collection of shawls and Ayurvedic products. We also have souvenirs of Indian monuments in the form of magnets, mugs, decorative plates and card holders. All these items sourced from across the country, with many coming from cottage industries, are gaining huge popularity.”
