Low visibility procedures were implemented for a little over three hours at Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Thursday.

These procedures were implemented on runway 11/29 from about 11-15 p.m. on Wednesday night and continued till 2-45 a.m. on Thursday. Six flights were operated under the CAT-I instrument landing system.

The Airport Meteorological Department said there was a spell of dense fog from 12-30 a.m. to 1-30 a.m. on Thursday on runway 11/29 during which the visibility dropped to below 75 metres. A couple of hours of dense fog can be expected on Friday morning during which visibility may fall to 300 metres.
