The Special Operations Group of the Uttarakhand Wildlife Department nabbed three persons with a leopard skin in Rishikesh on Tuesday evening.

Giving details, Chief Wildlife Warden Srikant Chandola said the catch came after the SOG team sent decoys to negotiate with the poachers who turned up with the full grown leopard's skin near Natraj hotel in Rishikesh only to be taken into custody by waiting foresters. The deal had been stuck for Rs10, 000 and the accused were habitual poachers and traders in animal parts, Mr. Chandola alleged. The accused were identified as Deepak Sharma of Yamkeshwar and Vinod Sharma and Keshav both of Rishikesh.
