Kashmiri Pandits would unfurl national flags and organise functions on October 26 across the country to celebrate the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India 63 years ago.

“National flags would be unfurled, deep malas would be placed besides other celebrations on October 26 to mark the State's merger with India,” founder-convenor of the Panun Kashmir Agni Shekhar told PTI over phone.

He said seminars would be organised in Jammu and Delhi on the day to “expose the conspiracy to distort” the accession.

Noted filmmaker and activist Ashok Pandit lauded the youth for shouting down the likes of Arundhati Roy and Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

“The Government is forcing our youth to do what the authorities should be doing,” he added. - PTI
