A first-of-its-kind international dance festival is to be organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in the Capital featuring performances by foreign artistes in Indian classical dances.
Artistes from Germany, Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Mauritius and South Africa are expected to take part in the festival. It aims to highlight the interest with which Indian classical dances are being learnt and taught in foreign countries.
The three-day festival will be inaugurated by ICCR president Karan Singh this Monday. Union Minister Farooq Abdullah will be the chief guest on the occasion.
