Akshay Sivadas, a Class XI student of Indirapuram Public School, has been awarded the prestigious “Child Innovation Award” for his design of a machine that conducts complete diagnoses of a person and suggests remedies.

Named “Bhama Auto Diagnosis Machine”, the model is based on the concept of an ATM machine. Akshay hopes the machines will be as easily available as ATMs and will be accessible to the common man.

The award was presented to Akshay by former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at a ceremony held at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, recently.
