NEW DELHI: Heart Care Foundation of India president K. K. Aggarwal on Wednesday launched a daily medical newspaper, “e medinews”, at a function in Russian Centre of Science and Culture here.
Addressing a press conference here, Dr. Aggarwal, who is chief editor of the new newspaper, said: “For doctors this newspaper will be a good option because they are not being updated with the latest information on a daily basis. Most of the drugs introduced are being communicated to doctors through pharmaceutical companies which may not always give a true picture. Also drugs banned may not be communicated to doctors for months together.”
Described as country’s first daily medical newspaper, “e medinews” will be of use for medical practitioners as well as the general public with interest in healthcare reading. The newspaper brought by the IJCP Group of Medical Publication, HCFI and World Fellowship of Religions carries information like breaking news, news, views, controversies and new drug launch, besides guidelines.
Noted singers Rajan and Sajan Mishra, who were the special guests, said making people aware about health was the only way for creating a disease-free society.
