“In 25 years, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has bridged the gap between teachers and students with its quality study material. The self-learning study materials are of such excellence that you can prepare yourselves easily and feel as if your teachers are seated beside you,” said IGNOU Vice-Chancellor V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai in his New Year message to the University's students on Sunday.

Making a special mention of the Open Distance Learning pedagogy driven by Information and Communication Technologies, Prof. Pillai added that these efforts are supported by personal contact with experts in subjects. The University also organises interactive video conferencing sessions with the learners.
