NEW DELHI: An anonymous phone call saying that a bomb had been planted in the Ashoka Hotel here on Thursday created panic. It later turned out to be a hoax.

A call was received at the Chanakyapuri police station around 10 a.m. saying that a bomb had been planted in the hotel. Bomb disposal squads and dog squads were rushed to the hotel and search was carried out. The call was declared hoax after nothing incriminating was found.
