The Uttar Pradesh crime branch arrested four persons accused of duping businessmen of lakhs of rupees, the police said on Monday.

The accused—Nitin Kumar of Gurgaon and Saharanpur residents Sachin Kumar, Mohammad Samshad and Anuj Tyagi —were arrested on Sunday night while they were moving on National Highway 24 near here. An investigating officer said the accused, who have three trucks, would bag contract of transporting steels and iron rods from businessmen and later dupe them by not delivering the goods at the destination.

Investigators said the accused were wanted in several such cases .
