An Assistant Divisional Officer of the Delhi Fire Service was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday for allegedly accepting bribe from a builder for issuing a no-objection certificate.

On receipt of a complaint alleging that the official had been demanding bribe for the certificate, the CBI sleuths laid a trap and arrested him when he was purportedly accepting Rs.1 lakh from the builder. Subsequently he was booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act and searches were conducted at his premises.
