A fire broke out in a building housing a coaching institute in Saidulajab here on Wednesday. The fire was reportedly caused by a short-circuit around 1-30 p.m. in the electronic appliances kept at the coaching institute.

Officials said a few students were injured and one of them suffered a fracture after he jumped off the second floor of the building.

“Some of the students suffered minor injuries while trying to escape,” said a police official.
