The Haryana Health Department has decided to give financial incentives to Emergency Obstetric Care (EmOC) and Life Saving Anesthetic (LSA) trained doctors.
Health Minister Narender Singh Yadav told The Hindu on Saturday that Rs. 2,000 per month would be given as a fixed honorarium to EmOC and LSA trained doctors in addition to their salary. Moreover, Rs. 400 would be given per caesarean operation to EmOC and LSA trained doctors.
Talking about the new initiatives, he said that networks of Accredited Social Activist (ASHA) Resource Centres and ASHA/ANM helpline centres would be set up.
