The sale and receipt of forms for students aspiring to take admission in Delhi University through sports and extra-curricular activities will begin on June 21, along with the declaration of the second cut-off list, and continue till June 27.

The dates were approved at a DU Sports Council meeting this past week.

Sports Council member Novy Kapadia who attended the meeting said: “The sports trial schedule was approved alongside with that of the ECA trials. Dean of Students' Welfare J.M. Khurana and university sports coordinating director Sudershan Pathak were present. Though all relevant university officials could not be present, they sent in their approval of the schedules.”

Colleges will conduct their individual sports and ECA trials. Hence students will have to apply to individual colleges. The dates and venues of the trials will be displayed in colleges on June 29 and will also be put up on their websites. The details of the sports trials are to be sent to the Sports Council. Various sports and ECA trials will take place from June 30 to July 7.

The first admission list will be declared by colleges on July 8 for which admission and payment of fees will take place from July 9-13.

The second list will be notified on July 15 for which admissions and payment of fees will take place from July 16-20.

Seventy-five per cent weightage will be given to sports certificates of students and 25 per cent will be reserved for trials. The final selection of students in the sports quota along with the marks allotted will be notified by the colleges to the Sports Council.

Colleges will evolve their own criteria for conducting the ECA trials.
