After remaining within the normal range over the past few days, the mercury rose in the Capital on Saturday with the temperature shooting two notches beyond normal even as the residents spent yet another day without rain.
The maximum temperature was 35.7 degrees Celsius and the minimum 28 degrees, both up two notches above normal, said the weatherman.
The city has had no rain in the past 24 hours and the humidity levels have hovered between 59 and 81 per cent.
The weatherman has forecast a partly cloudy sky on Sunday with possibility of light rain or thundershower towards the evening or at night in some areas of the Capital.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.
